The ICC Canada Arbitration Conference
Thomas Mathews attended the ICC Canada Arbitration Committee Annual Conference of 2025 held in Ottawa from October 8-10, 2025, “The Great Disruption: Dispute Resolution in a Multipolar World”.
John Hannaford, the Personal Representative of the Prime Minister to the European Union and former Clerk of the Privy Council, delivered the keynote address.
Panel sessions explored economic nationalism, climate change, and armed conflict in international arbitration. Further discussions addressed arbitration in the international critical mineral sector, international supply chain disruptions, sanctions, and clean energy.
