The Commercial Bar Association (COMBAR) Conference

Joshua Samac and Thomas Mathews attended the Commercial Bar Association (COMBAR) Conference held from May 28-30, 2025 in Montreal.  COMBAR is an association for barristers in England and Wales who advise the international business community on commercial law disputes.

The conference brought together leading legal professionals from the United Kingdom, North America, and offshore to discuss developments and emerging trends in commercial litigation and arbitration.

Canadian Supreme Court Justice, the Honourable Suzanne Côté, served as the judicial guest of honour at the conference’s gala dinner, which was hosted at Montreal’s St. James Theatre. Judge of the High Court and of the King’s Bench Division (England and Wales), the Honourable Justice Andrew Henshaw, who is in charge of the Commercial Court, was also in attendance.

Joshua Samac and Thomas Mathews appreciated their time in Montreal and look forward to attending the next COMBAR Conference in Europe.
